Dev Diary 10/2023: Creating Franchise Shows
Next Time On Endless Studio…
The second phase of developing the upcoming Show Franchises feature is now finished! In the video below, you'll notice that when creating a new show, you can choose its Franchise Type—whether it's an Original Show, a Spin-Off, or a Reboot. To create a Spin-Off, pick a parent show with at least one aired season; for a Reboot, choose a show that ended at least a decade ago.
Our next steps involve implementing various effects for shows within a Franchise Universe. Additionally, we'll be expanding the Knowledge Base and updating the Tutorial to cover these changes.
Feature Voting Status Report
Week three results for the Second Feature Voting Season are in! 🗳️ Endless Studio's top fans, who chose the Level 2 Supporter Subscription, used their power to vote to elevate the following features to the Top 5:
- Planned Show Ending: 130 votes
- Critics & Awards: 108 votes
- Managing Your Own Network: 104 votes
- More Talent Variety: 17 votes
- Sandbox Mode Improvements: 16 votes
While all of the Top 5 features received more votes, there were no changes in their positions by the end of the week.
If you haven't already, consider subscribing or upgrading to the Level 2 Supporter Subscription to ensure your voice is heard! Voting will conclude with the next update, at which point we'll announce a winner and start a new voting season.
