Endless Studio 2023.8 is here with Show Franchises

We're excited to bring you the latest update, highlighting Show Franchises, a feature chosen by you, our dedicated community! 🤗

New Early Access Features

For our Level 2 Supporter Subscribers, we're introducing the following Early Access Features that will be available to everyone in the next feature update:

• Create and expand Show Franchises, which provide various benefits.
• When creating a new show, choose its Franchise Type: an Original Show, a Spin-Off, or a Reboot.
• To create a Spin-Off, pick a parent show with at least one aired season.
• For a Reboot, choose a show that ended at least a decade ago.
• Enjoy increased pitching chances for Spin-Offs and Reboots, as networks are more inclined to explore new additions to established franchises.
• Leverage the natural intrigue of viewers for related shows within a franchise, leading to a boost in viewership.
• Benefit also from cost savings by sharing resources among shows within the same franchise.
• On the Show screen, within the Attributes section, quickly identify if a show is an Original, Spin-Off, or Reboot.
• A new section on the Show screen highlights whether a show is part of a franchise, offering a list of all other shows in that franchise.
• Moreover, the franchise show list distinguishes between Parent, Spin-Off, or Reboot shows related to the one you're currently exploring.
• You are also able to explore related shows by tapping on any of them to view their dedicated screens.

Previous Early Access Features

Features previously exclusive to Level 2 Supporter Subscribers are now available to everyone:

• Find a better network for your running (In Production) shows by pitching to them.
• When one of your shows gets cancelled, pitch it to a new network to save it.
• Also, when a network finds one of your shows exceptionally attractive, they will make an offer to convince you to switch your show to their network.

New Features for Everyone

And for everyone, we are introducing:

• Subscribers now receive more votes based on active subscribed months: 10 votes per month.
• There are now buttons for casting/withdrawing 10 votes at a time, not just one.
• Stay informed with a warning if you have unused votes for the current Feature Voting Season.
• As a replacement for 3rd party ads, we are trying out a promotion for the Supporter Subscription. If successful, we'll permanently remove 3rd party ads.
• Explore the ins and outs of Show Franchises in our extended Knowledge Base.
• We fixed a bug where a new action didn't immediately show up in the Showrunners & Marketing Office after starting it.
• We've addressed some additional bugs and made minor improvements for a smoother experience.

Feature Voting Results & The Next Update

With the release of the new update, Feature Voting Season #2 has concluded. Endless Studio's biggest fans, who chose the Level 2 Supporter Subscription, used their power to vote to elevate the following features to the Top 5:

• Managing Your Own Network: 165 votes
• Planned Show Ending: 139 votes
• Critics & Awards: 76 votes
• More Talent Variety: 29 votes
• Feature Movies: 17 votes

Managing Your Own Network is the surprise winner! The imagined new feature set will allow for a completely new type of play within Endless Studio, where you switch to the other side and manage a Network instead of a Studio, or do both. As we explained in the feature's description, this feature is a HUGE development task and will need to be thoroughly planned first. Based on that planning, we will probably first have a rather bare-bones network-management gameplay, while introducing several new follow-up features for Feature Voting to make it more complete and nuanced, and incorporating the feedback from our players.

And with this, Feature Voting Season #3 commences. Votes are now reset and everyone with an active Level 2 Supporter Subscription gets 10 new votes for each month they have had an active subscription and opened the game at least once. Begin casting your votes for the features you'd like to see developed next. If you haven't already, consider subscribing or upgrading to the Level 2 Supporter Subscription to ensure your voice is heard! Voting will conclude with the next update, at which point we'll announce a winner and start a new voting season.
