Dev Diary 13/2024: Quick Fixes and a Sneak Peek at Update 2024.3

Last week we took a break from our Dev Diaries, but we're back with updates on bug fixes and an exciting preview of what's coming in the next big update. 🚀

Next Time On Endless Studio…

We rolled out two hotfix updates, 2024.2.3 and 2024.2.4, squashing a total of 9 bugs for your gaming pleasure. 🪲

With the game now free of known bugs, our sights are set on the third and final preparatory update for the massive Managing Your Own Network feature set you overwhelmingly voted for, and which we’ll work on after this update is released. Let's dive into update 2024.3! 👀

• Scheduling Overhaul: We’ll upgrade the way schedules work in the game. Broadcast & Cable networks will now schedule shows weekly, instead of having the same schedule for a whole TV season (Fall, Spring, Summer). This allows for dynamic programming changes, and time slots being filled with new shows, after a previous show’s episodes run out. Streaming networks will have the option to release episodes weekly, instead of airing the whole season at once. Additionally, we're tweaking how networks make cancellation & renewal decisions, moving to a more realistic weekly basis, instead of making these decisions always at the same fixed time.
• Scheduling Office: The new Scheduling Office replaces the old Schedules screens in the Management Office. With its modern design and improved navigation, managing your own network’s programming will be a breeze.
• Revamped Networks Screen: We're giving the Networks screen a facelift. Expect a more visual layout with easy-to-use filters, sorting options (e.g. by pitching chance), and brand-new network logos.
• Enhanced Management Office: Look out for new icons for the buttons and even for each Genre.
• Starting Rooms: We are making the Management Office, Library and Scheduling Office instantly available when launching a new studio, in addition to the Briefing Room.

We've got our work cut out for us, but it's all to ensure you have the best experience managing your studio (and soon network). 🤗 Remember, these features are still in the planning phase and may evolve. ☝️
